The technique we are using to harvest follicles for facial hair transplantation is the FUE technique. With the FUE procedure the follicular grafts are harvested from the posterior or back portion of the scalp similar to traditional hair transplant procedures. The new hair grafts are then re-implanted with special implanters without causing any scarring in the facial regions requiring greater facial hair density.
This is done with care because the doctor has to implant the hair mostly single or double hair graft in the natural direction, angle and depth so that it normally grows and also take care of aesthetics, such as grey hairs, in a natural way. The transplanted hairs fall out after a month and new hair starts to grow in around three months’ time, taking around a year to fully grow in.. Once transplanted, the hairs are permanent and typically grow just like facial hair with similar texture and other characteristics. Furthermore, the transplanted hair can be shaved just as you would other facial hair.
